Our henna stencils are carefully designed with deep attention to aesthetics and ease of use. Perfect if you're looking for an effortless but authentic henna experience. Unlike henna tattoos, which leave an artificial, film-like transfer over your skin, stencils are used in conjunction with real, organic chemical-free henna to leave behind a true henna stain after application.
Simply stick the henna stencil onto your skin, apply henna over the stencil and wait for the paste to dry before pulling away the stencil. Whether you are an experienced henna artist looking to quickly apply a design or just a lover of henna, we have a range of designs that are sure to match your taste.
Directions and Use:
- Before use ensure that the skin is clean and dry. Do not use lotions or moisturisers on the skin prior to stencil and henna application as this will prevent the stencil from sticking properly and adversely affect the henna stain as well.
- Slowly remove the henna stencil from the white backing.
- Stick the henna stencil on the skin, adhesive-side down, with no creases or areas lifting up. Wherever the henna stencil does not make full contact with the skin the design may smudge. To ensure wrinkle-free adhesion, wherever needed, the stencil may be cut with scissors and applied in parts.
- Once the henna stencil is in position, carefully remove the clear, protective film.
- Apply our organic, chemical-free henna over the stencil and make sure to cover the entire design. You may use a spoon to spread the henna evenly if needed.
- Allow the henna paste to dry completely before pulling away the stencil.
Henna Aftercare:
Unlike chemical cones which bring an immediate stain, organic henna undergoes a natural staining process of 48 hours. If proper aftercare is followed your henna stain will start with a bright orange colour and mature into a rich, darker stain.
It is recommended that you keep your henna paste on for 8-12 hours, or overnight, but if that is not possible, then at least until the paste has dried. Remove your paste with oil and avoid contact with water insofar as possible during the maturing process. Keeping your skin warm is also conducive to a darker, more beautiful stain.
Storage and Reuse:
Our professional henna stencils can be reused 2-3 times if they are washed with care. Simply remove the henna with lukewarm water and once they are dry, stick them onto the white backing.
